The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 mini auction is taking place on December 16, 2026 in Abu Dhabi. Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) are once again aiming for IPL 2026.
In 2024, under the captaincy of Shreyas Iyer, the team won its third title. Although last year's season was challenging for the team, the 'Purple Brigade' are hoping for a strong comeback this time around. Now, KKR is gearing up to get its best team to win its fourth title.
Cameron Green was the highest bid, joining KKR for 25.20 crores, KKR made the second highest bid, Sri Lankan fast bowler Matisha Pathirana for 18 crores.
Wicketkeeper-batsman Tejashwi Singh was also heavily bid for and after a tough competition, Kolkata Knight Riders finally bought him for ₹ 3 crore. Fast bowler Karthik Tyagi, who has played in the IPL earlier, was bought by Kolkata Knight Riders for a base price of ₹ 30 lakh. Prashant Solanki was also bought by Kolkata Knight Riders for ₹30 lakh.
