The Indian cricket team has reached Indore to play the third and decisive match. In recent times, Indore has been the talk of the town all over India. The reason for this was the contaminated water here, due to which many people lost their lives.
This issue has been in constant discussion and even Team India is cautious about it. Not only Team India but the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is also alert in this matter and is leaving no stone unturned to protect the players. Thus, Team India is staying in a five star hotel in Indore. Five star hotels are known for their cleanliness and hygiene.
Why did 'Gil' take the water purifier?
According to a media report, Shubman Gill has taken a water purifier worth three lakh rupees with him to Indore to avoid contaminated water. This purifier re-purifies RO and bottled water.
Sources were quoted as saying, “The device filters water to a higher level than a normal system. However, hotel staff have not been given much information about the technology of this machine or its daily use.”
Not specifically mentioned
The Indian team's media manager declined to comment on the issue. In short, is this step taken because of the recent water quality issues or is this part of the captain's general health precautions? It is not clearly mentioned.
It is being stated that sufficient facilities such as RO plants and sealed bottled water are already available for purified drinking water both at the hotel where the team is staying and at the Holkar Stadium.
Kohli too 'vigilant'
Hotels have all sorts of options for safe water, from RO to bottled water, but Team India wants to take extra precautions. India's star batsman Virat Kohli is always alert about water. He drinks 'Evian Natural Spring Water' (Evian Natural Spring Water), which comes specially from France.
