A five-member team headed by the President of Commonwealth Sport, Donald Rookery, has visited Gujarat. The team is to stay in Gujarat till April 11.
Commonwealth Sport President Donald Rooker and CEO Kate Sadlier met Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel in person. In this visit, basic information about Commonwealth Games 2030 was obtained.

The President and CEO of the Commonwealth Sports Team invited Bhupendra Patel to Glasgow to study the organization of the Commonwealth Games to be held in Glasgow from July-2026 to August 2-2026, to observe the organization of the Games.
Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel assured the Commonwealth Sports Team and the Indian Olympic Association that the state government will quickly provide all the necessary facilities and infrastructure for the successful conduct of the Commonwealth Games 2030.
The Commonwealth Sport Delegation visiting Gujarat will conduct a site visit to observe and study the ongoing preparations at Veer Savarkar Complex, Narendra Modi Stadium, Eka Arena and Vadodara Cricket Stadium and Ekta Nagar-Statue of Unity in Ahmedabad where the Games of the upcoming Commonwealth Games-2030 are to be held.
