Four-member multinational boy group XLOV, known for breaking conventional K-POP boundaries with its distinctive concept, has gained recognition for its growing global influence.
XLOV (WUMUTI, RUI, HYUN, and HARU) received the “K-POP Global Hallyu Entertainment Award” at the 6th Korea Hallyu Entertainment Awards, held on May 23 at the National Assembly Members’ Office Building in Seoul.
Debuting in January 2025 under 257 Entertainment and WM Entertainment, XLOV is recognized as the first Korean idol group to pursue a “genderless” concept. The group’s interpretation of genderlessness encourages individuals to move beyond social prejudice and conventional standards, while embracing their own definition of beauty and authentic self-identity. The group name itself combines the unknown variable “X” with the incomplete word “LOV,” symbolizing the creation of their own undefined and evolving identity.
Recently, XLOV heightened anticipation for its comeback by unveiling the music video teaser for “SERVE,” the title track from the group’s first mini album. The teaser has attracted particular attention due to the special appearance of actress Han So-hee. Featuring XLOV’s signature groovy bass-driven sound and visually striking voguing-inspired performances, the upcoming release is drawing growing interest from the group’s global fandom “EVOL” as well as music fans worldwide.
