Bhavnagar’s municipal system has proved to be inferior to the extent that where there is a paved road, the tender for constructing another road is passed by the municipal corporation without any investigation and the road work is also started. And mismanagement is reported to the system at a critical time. And in cities where good roads are really needed, no work is done by the road building system.
A budget of crores has been allocated for road works in this budget, but it is funny that it is actually used for road works. This means that a woman has died after being hit by a moving bike due to a bad road near the city’s Wartej Rangoli Chowkdi. A woman named Jikuben Satia has lost her life due to bad roads. The police have registered a complaint of death due to bad roads. There has been a demand for the repair of this road for a long time but no work is being done by the road construction system.
