BLACKSWAN’s Sriya met with fans through a bnt pictorial
Sriya’s dream began in India. She enjoyed dancing to music and had wanted to become a singer since she was young. Watching K-pop artists perform on stage made her want to stand on that stage herself.
Her family worried about their daughter leaving for Korea. Even so, they supported the dream she had chosen. Carrying that trust with her, Sriya began a new life. Both the language and culture were unfamiliar, and at first, she had no friends. With the help of her company and fellow members, she learnt and became accustomed to things one by one.
The strength that supported her also came from her homeland. What she learnt growing up in India was to believe in herself and not give up easily. While learning about a new culture, Sriya also takes pride in the life she has lived.
“I believe that the courage and strength to move towards my dreams, even if I walk a different path from others, have made me who I am today.”

The joy she felt when she first danced, her family’s support, and the people who reached out to help her. With that strength, Sriya became a member of BLACKSWAN, and now shares dance and music with her fans.
Her debut was not the end of her dream. Sriya said she still has a long way to go. She said she would like to tell her past self, who decided to go to Korea, to believe in her dream and not give up, even if she is afraid.
The girl who danced in India has stood on a stage in Korea. Now, someone else watching her may begin to believe in their own dream.
