Amid the escalating war between Israel and Hamas, the Indian Embassy in Tel Aviv has issued an advisory for Indians living there. It advised Indian nationals to avoid any “non-essential travel” to Israel in view of rising regional tensions. Along with this, in view of the rising tension in Central Asia, Air India has announced the cancellation of Tel Aviv flights till August 8.
The advisory said that people already living in Israel are advised to limit their movements and to stay in regular contact with the embassy through their designated email or emergency contact number.
A statement released by the Indian Embassy in Tel Aviv said that in view of the current situation in the region, all Indian nationals in Israel are advised to remain alert and follow security protocols as advised by local authorities.
Earlier, the Indian Embassy in Beirut had issued a similar advisory on Lebanon on Thursday. India's travel advisory comes after similar warnings from countries such as Australia, the United States and the United Kingdom.
Air India canceled the flight
Meanwhile, amid rising tensions in the Middle East, Air India on Friday announced the suspension of flights to Tel Aviv till August 8.

In a post on Twitter, the airline said that in view of the ongoing situation in parts of the Middle East, it has decided to suspend its flights to Tel Aviv with immediate effect until August 8, 2024. They are monitoring the entire situation.
The airline said that during this period, all assistance is being provided to passengers with confirmed bookings for travel from Tel Aviv. This includes a one-time discount on rescheduling and cancellation of tickets. Let us tell you that even before this, Air India has been suspending its flights to Tel Aviv from time to time.
