After the defeat in the Bengaluru Test match, Team India is now hoping to bounce back from the Pune Test match. New Zealand defeated India by 8 wickets in the first Test. Now the second match of the series is starting from October 24 Thursday. Looking at Team India's last two matches, there is only one question on everyone's mind – will the Pune Test match also be affected by rain?
Earlier in the Kanpur Test match against Bangladesh, nearly 3 days of play could not be played due to rain, while last week only a whole day was lost due to rain in the Bengaluru Test match. Pune has recently received heavy rains, after which everyone is keeping an eye on the weather there, but there is no need to worry too much as the weather is going to be kind to Pune.
All eyes are on the weather in the Pune Test. One of the reasons for this is that there has been rain in Pune recently. On Tuesday 22nd October the weather was fairly good throughout the day and both teams practiced, but it rained heavily during the night. In such a situation everyone is a little tensed. However, the weather remained fine on Wednesday and India and New Zealand practiced simultaneously at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium. The relief is that the situation is expected to remain the same on Thursday as well.
According to Accuweather forecast, there is no chance of rain in Pune on Thursday, October 24. However, there will be light clouds and sunshine from morning onwards, but not even a single drop of rain is expected, on Friday, October 25, i.e., the weather is expected to remain the same on the second day of the match which makes it clear that the match will start on time without any issues and Will continue further.
Earlier, during the Test match against Bangladesh in Kanpur, almost two and a half days of play was wasted. However, Team India somehow managed to win that match. However, after this, Team India had to bear the brunt of rain in the Bengaluru Test against New Zealand. The first day of the match here was completely washed out by rain and the weather on the second day was also bad in the morning. In such conditions, it was difficult for Team India to bat first and they were all out for just 46 runs. Its effect remained till the end of the match and Team India lost by 8 wickets.
