Before the Melbourne Test, the ICC has announced the Test Rankings and before that the 4 players of Team India Rishabh Pant, Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and Shubman Gill have received a big blow. All four players have not been able to do anything special in the Border-Gavaskar series so far and all four have suffered losses in the Test rankings.
The biggest blow has come to Rishabh Pant who has dropped out of the top 10. Prior to the Brisbane Test, Pant was ranked 9th but a poor performance there has now dropped him out of the top 10 and is at number 11.
The flop in the Brisbane Test has cost Virat Kohli dearly. It is out of the top 20. Virat's rating points have increased to 646.
Shubman Gill also suffered a major setback in Brisbane and has dropped 4 places to 20th.
Rohit Sharma's condition is worse. This player is out of top 30. Rohit Sharma has dropped five places to 35th.
Yashaswi Jaiswal also lost a place and slipped to the fifth position.
