Team India's fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah performed brilliantly in the Test series against Australia and now he has got his reward. ICC has selected Bumrah as the Player of the Month for December.
Jasprit Bumrah was the player of the series in the Test series against Australia and took the highest wicket of 32. Jasprit Bumrah won the award beating Pat Cummins and Dan Patterson. Jasprit Bumrah took a total of 32 wickets in the Australia tour. In the month of December, he took a total of 22 wickets in 4 Tests.
Jasprit Bumrah also waved his flag of success in June 2024. Bumrah won the first Player of the Month award in June 2024. Bumrah is the only bowler in the world to have won Player of the Month twice in the year 2024.
As for Team India, only two Indian players won the Player of the Month in 2024. Apart from Bumrah, Yashaswi Jaiswal achieved this feat. He was named Player of the Month in February.
