Speaking on thestompingground podcast, Hearn said: “The problem is I felt you (Dave Allen) got good money for the first fight.
“You probably don’t.
“You’re getting double for the rematch after losing and a lot of people thought he won and it is a big fight etc.
“But I believe it’s a lot of money and if he wins he has another fight after that for even more money.”
Similar to this fight, the purses for the first bout were not publicly discussed, but reports suggest that Johnny Fisher took home $375k (£282k) while Dave Allen pocketed a rumoured $325k (£245k).
