The ICC has made a big decision to make T20 cricket even more exciting. An important change in the powerplay rule has been made in the men’s T20 international matches.
According to the new change, if the T20 international matches are reduced for rain or for any other reason, the powerplay will be determined on the basis of the ball instead of over over.
According to the currently implemented rule, the first 6 overs in the 20 -over innings was, but according to the new rules, if the inning is 5 overs, the powerplay will be 1.3 overs. There will be 1.5 over powerplay in 6 overs. There will be 3 over powerplay in 10 overs. If for some reason the match is 19 overs, the powerplay will be 5.4 overs. The rules of T20 cricket powerplay will be implemented from July 2. Let you know that such rules are already used in the T20 Blast Tournament.
The ICC has also made a big change in Test cricket. Now the Stop Clock Rule will be implemented to keep the over rate right in T20 cricket. After the over is completed, one minute will be given to start the new over. If the team fails twice, they will get two warnings and after this the guilty team will be fined five runs.
ODI cricket has also changed the rule. Now in each innings, two new balls will be played for 35 overs before the match and only one ball will be used in the next 15 overs. (All Image – PTI)
