BCCI has an office at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai where a major report is coming out. Indeed, the BCCI office has been stolen and millions of luggage have disappeared from there. Everyone was shocked as the news arrived. Everyone was saying how such a big theft took place in the Indian board office despite such security. Not only that, when the mastermind of the theft was caught, there was a stir in the office.
Guard stolen in BCCI office
According to a report, IPL jerseys worth Rs 6.5 lakh have been stolen from the office of the Indian Cricket Control Board. All are shocked by this theft. The question arises in the minds of many people who planned to steal from the BCCI office. Reportedly, the thief is none other than Guard Farooq Aslam Khan, who stole 261 jerseys. Each jersey is priced at Rs 2500.
261 jersey stolen of different teams
Farooq has been arrested for the theft. After being arrested, Farooq Aslam Khan himself told the police why he had stolen. Police said the guard had stolen so many jerseys to satisfy his addiction to online gambling. The biggest thing was that he had stolen the jerseys of different teams, not a team. After theft, the guard sold these jerseys to an online dealer in Haryana, with which he was connected by social media.
Thieves caught on the basis of CCTV footage
It is not yet confirmed that these kits are for the players. The jerseys were stolen on June 13, but the theft revealed that the stock was missing from the store room in the audit. BCCI officials then checked CCTV footage and saw the guard carrying a jersey in a box. The police source said that the online dealer did not know that these jerseys were stolen.
50 jerseys found out of 261
50 jerseys have been found out of 261 jerseys stolen. Farooq said he had received money from the dealer in his account but lost all the money in gambling online. The source said that the police were investigating Farooq's bank account whether he was speaking right.
