
The Indian women's hockey team beat Thailand 11-0 in its first match at the Women's Hockey Asia Cup 2025, which started in China. Team India scored 11 goals
India maintained its domination from the very beginning and scored a wonderful goal. Mumtaz Khan, Udita and Beauty Dung Dung scored two goals, while Sangeeta Kumari, Navneet Kaur, Lalremasiami, Sharmila Devi and Rutuja Dadaso Pisal scored one goal. India got a 5-0 lead in the first half. After this, India's invasion intensified in the second half, and by the end of the game, Team India scored 11 goals.
World Cup ticket at stake
The Indian team has been kept in Pool B, including Asia Cup champions Japan, Thailand and Singapore, while Pool A includes host China, Korea, Malaysia and Chinese Taipei. The tournament is scheduled to be held from 5 to 14 September 2025. After Thailand, India will now face Japan on Saturday and Singapore on September 8. As you can tell, the Asia Cup is also a qualifying tournament for the World Cup in Belgium and the Netherlands next year.
