According to media reports, the UAE has made this decision due to security, health and migration concerns. As a result, citizens of these countries can no longer apply for a visa.
Restrictions on citizens of these countries
Citizens of Afghanistan, Libya, Yemen, Somalia, Lebanon, Bangladesh, Cameroon, Sudan and Uganda have been banned. Citizens of these countries will no longer be able to apply for a UAE tourist visa or work permit. The restriction will be in effect till the next notice. No deadline has been announced for review or cancellation. However, this restriction does not apply to those who have already received visas. Such individuals can live and work legally in the country.
Why Visa Ban was imposed
According to the media report, the UAE government has not yet disclosed any details in this regard, but experts say there are several factors behind the ban. The most common cause is national security. The UAE has already implemented similar steps in response to these concerns.
