
ICC has released the latest ODI batting rankings, which has seen a major change. Former Indian captain Rohit Sharma is at number one with 781 points. However, Pakistan's star batsman Babar Azam has suffered due to his poor form, which has benefited Indian star Virat Kohli. Kohli's ranking has gained without playing a match.
Virat Kohli in Top 5
Afghanistan's Ibrahim Zadran is second to Rohit in the latest ODI rankings with 764 points. Daryl Mitchell of New Zealand is third with 746 points. Indian captain Shubman Gill is fourth with 745 points. Meanwhile, Virat Kohli has now reached the fifth position with 725 points. Notably, he hasn't played an ODI match since the ODI series against Australia, his points haven't changed, yet he's in the top 5. In the previous ranking, he was in sixth place.
Babar gave advantage to Virat Kohli
In fact, Babar Azam, who has been struggling with poor form, has slipped down two places. His points now stand at 709, moving him from fifth to seventh place. This means that Sri Lanka's Charith Aslanka has also gained a place alongside Virat, moving from seventh to sixth. Meanwhile, Ireland's Harry Tector is eighth with 708 points. Indian batsman Shreyas Iyer also remains at the ninth position with 700 points.
Kuldeep the only Indian bowler in the top 10
Rashid Khan remains number one in the ODI ranking of bowlers. Keshav Maharaj is also at number two. England's star fast bowler Jofra Archer has moved up two places to number three. Kuldeep Yadav has also moved from number seven to number six. Currently, Kuldeep Yadav is the only Indian bowler in the top 10. He is followed by Ravindra Jadeja at 13th and Mohammad Siraj at 16th.
