Bihar was defeated by Goa in Group B match of Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. Vaibhav Suryavanshi batted well in this match but still he could not lead his team to victory. On the other hand, Arjun Tendulkar also bowled brilliantly for Goa, leading to a win for Goa. In this match, Bihar scored 180 runs in 20 overs, but Goa achieved the target before one ball of the match. Kashyap Bakhle and Suyash Prabhudesai scored brilliant half-centuries in Goa's win.
Arjun Tendulkar and Vaibhav Suryavanshi clash
An interesting encounter between Arjun Tendulkar and Vaibhav Suryavanshi was witnessed at the Jadavpur University ground in Kolkata. Arjun conceded just 5 runs in his first over, and Suryavanshi hit a four off his bowling. Suryavanshi then hit two fours in his second over. However, Arjun conceded just 16 runs in his first two overs. It was good bowling against a powerful and in-form batsman like Suryavanshi. Arjun dismissed Bihar wicketkeeper Ayush Loharuka in his second spell, and then Sooraj Kashyap. Arjun took two wickets for 32 runs in four overs.
Strong batting from Vaibhav Suryavanshi
As for Vaibhav Suryavanshi, he scored 46 off 25 balls, which included four sixes and four fours. Vaibhav Suryavanshi could have played an even bigger innings but Deepraj Gaonkar's bowling cost him the wicket. Captain Sakibul Ghani scored 60 runs for Bihar, while Akash Raj scored 40 runs. Bihar scored 180 runs in 20 overs.
Arjun Tendulkar failed in batting
Arjun Tendulkar from Goa came to the crease and hit a four, but then a brilliant delivery from Sooraj Kashyap blew off his stumps. Arjun could score only four runs. Abhinav Tejrana was also dismissed on the first ball, but then Kashyap Bakhle scored 64 and captain Suyyash Prabhudesai scored 79 to lead the team to victory. Lalit Yadav also made an important contribution by scoring an unbeaten 21 off 12 balls.
