Ahmedabad SOG has had great success against international drug networks. SOG Crime cordoned off a WagonR car near Chiloda and seized 22.780 kg hybrid ganja. The value of the seized ganja in the international market is estimated at Rs 7.97 to 8 crore. Police have arrested cousins Jiya alias Jessica Prajapati and Chetan Prajapati in this case.
This drug network started from Bangkok
Police investigation has revealed that accused Jiya was the mastermind of this entire drug syndicate. He organized a gang of youths from Rajasthan and prepared carriers to bring drugs from Thailand to India. It has been revealed that this drug network which started from Bangkok has spread to Ahmedabad.
According to SOG's investigation, this quantity of hybrid cannabis was brought to India from Bangkok in January. However, the accused named Bhuvnesh was caught with drugs from the Mumbai airport and is currently in jail. A plan was made to sell this hybrid marijuana again to bail Bhuvnesh out of jail.
'Gia' was out to sell hybrid cannabis
According to the police, accused Jiya had made a bet against Armaan Joshi and Milan Vaghasia that the rest of the ganja would be given only when Bhuvnesh was released from jail. Geared up by Arman and Milan, 'Gia' sets out to sell hybrid marijuana, but is caught by the SOG in the process.
Investigation further revealed that Jia and Milan had met earlier in Thailand. The two then came into contact and an international drugs racket syndicate was formed. Cousins Jiya and Chetan used to send carriers to order hybrid cannabis from Thailand.
75 thousand rupees will be given to the carrier
1.5 lakh rupees were charged from Milan Vaghasia and Armaan Joshi for one carrier, of which 75 thousand rupees were given to the carrier. The carrier used to get 7500 Thai baht to go to Thailand, out of which 4000 baht was given to the carrier and the accused kept the remaining amount. In this way a well-organized network of international racketeering was run.
A total of 6 accused in this drug syndicate including Milan Vaghasia, Armaan Joshi, Gopal Solanki, Umesh Solanki and Prashant Kalal are absconding, while Bhuvnesh is in jail. SOG Crime has launched a manhunt for the absconding accused and further investigations are underway into the entire network.
