A total of 20 teams participated in the 2026 T20 World Cup. Eight of those teams qualified for the second round. Meanwhile, an interesting statistic has come out that has surprised everyone. This is a statistic that sets South Africa apart from the rest.
In fact, South Africa are the only team in the 2026 T20 World Cup to not have a single batsman dismissed for zero (0). Other teams' batsmen have been dismissed for one or more wickets.
On the other hand, Team India has created an undesirable record in the 2026 T20 World Cup. Both India and Italy have a total of eight duck outs each in the tournament so far, the most among all 20 teams. The biggest reason for this is the continuous bad form of Indian opener Abhishek Sharma.
Abhishek Sharma has three consecutive clean sheets in the tournament. He has gone without scoring against the United States, Pakistan and the Netherlands, which is a cause for concern. He is also the highest wicket-taker in this edition.
Meanwhile, South Africa won all four of its group stage matches and topped the Super 8. Their batting lineup, which includes Quinton de Kock, Ryan Rickelton, Aidan Markram and Tristan Stubbs, has been scoring runs. Now they will face India, West Indies and Zimbabwe in Super 8. (PC: PTI)
