Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu has reacted after US President Donald Trump's ceasefire announcement. The Israeli Prime Minister's Office issued a statement on Wednesday supporting US President Donald Trump's decision. He also placed a condition for its acceptance.
Will support the ceasefire
In the statement, Israel made it clear that it would support the ceasefire only if Iran reopens the Strait of Hormuz as soon as possible and stops attacks on the US, Israel and other countries in the region. It also said that Iran would not stop its attacks on Lebanon.

America assured Israel
Israel also said it supports US efforts to ensure that Iran no longer poses a nuclear, missile and terrorist threat to the US, Israel, Iran's Arab neighbors and the world. According to the Times of Israel, America assured Israel that it is committed to achieving all these goals in the upcoming negotiations. These goals are common to both America, Israel, and Israel's allies in the region.
This ceasefire will not apply to Lebanon
The Israeli Prime Minister's Office has made it clear that this two-week ceasefire will not apply to Lebanon. However, Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif clarified in his ceasefire announcement that Lebanon is also included in this ceasefire.
Israel is carrying out heavy attacks on civilian areas in Lebanon to weaken Hezbollah's hold. If Israel continues these attacks, the cease-fire could derail any attempt to achieve a full-scale cease-fire.
Israel is not happy with the ceasefire
The ceasefire is being seen around the world as a strategic victory for Israel. Israel was not ready for this ceasefire and was advocating large-scale attacks on Iran. Iran has demanded an end to attacks on its proxies, which have received a green light from the US. Israel considers Hezbollah a threat in Lebanon and a ceasefire would help Hezbollah strengthen itself.
Following the announcement of a ceasefire, Israel launched airstrikes on the town of Mashghara in the Bekaa Valley. Shelling also took place in the town of Khiyam, which has been the center of intense fighting between Israel and Hezbollah for the past few weeks.
