The last one year i.e. FY 2023-24 has been very good for the domestic market. There are now only 3 days of trading left in the current financial year and BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty have gained around 30 percent each during this period.
There is only one week left in the current financial year. When markets open on Monday next week, the date on the calendar will be April 1, which will be the first day of the new financial year 2024-25.
During the next week, Monday is the Holi holiday, while the market will be closed on Friday to mark Good Friday. After that, the market will be closed on Saturday and Sunday, the last two days of the financial year.
The value of large corporate groups has increased significantly in the current financial year. During this period, the market cap of Mukesh Ambani’s Reliance Group of companies has increased by 37 percent.
Mahindra Group’s mcap grew by 38 percent in the current financial year, while Jindal Group’s mcap grew by 47 percent. Their mcap respectively Rs. 4.06 lakh crore and Rs. 4.6 lakh crores.
L&T Group’s mcap increased 47 percent to Rs 7.3 lakh crore, Tata Group’s mcap increased 47 percent to Rs 30.2 lakh crore and Adani Group’s mcap increased 58 percent to Rs 13.3 lakh crore.
RPG Group’s mcap has increased by 70 percent to Rs 42,683 crore. While Sanjeev Goenka Group’s mcap has increased the most by 71 percent to Rs 45,358 crore.
