The government has announced permanent recruitment in secondary and higher secondary government and grant-in-aid schools of the state. Today, knowledge assistants have descended on mass CL with the demand of permanent teacher recruitment. More than 13 thousand knowledge assistants of the state are protesting with the demand of recruitment according to the institution.
The demand of these teachers is that there are 78 thousand TET-TAT pass candidates in the state. Against this, the government has announced permanent recruitment of 7500 teachers on the basis of qualification in the next three months. Which is not even 10 percent of the organization. The demand of knowledge assistants is that since there are 78 thousand TET-TAT pass candidates in the state, the government should recruit at least 35 thousand permanent teachers.
The main demand of the TET-TAT pass candidates was that instead of recruitment of knowledge assistants in the state, teachers should be permanently recruited. The age limit for Tet-Tat pass candidates in the state is nearing completion. There is a shortfall of more than 70 thousand teachers in the state and 1.38 lakh candidates have passed the examination but agitation is being done for permanent recruitment.
In this regard, the spokesperson clarified that the Tat-Tat exam is not for giving jobs but for qualification. Rules for permanent recruitment of primary school teachers are being made. The recruitment process will be announced after the finalization.
The candidates directly allege against the government that the government wants to close down the granted schools by not recruiting permanent teachers. Teachers are treated like accused when they go to present. They are detained. The knowledge workers demand that if they are not recruited permanently, then more agitation will be done in the near future. The candidates allege that permanent recruitment was guaranteed only when the Gyan Sahachar Yojana was introduced, but the Gnan Sahachars who have not been recruited till date have now raised the weapon of Mass CL against the government.
