The price of gold in the Indian market has fallen to Rs 72,750 per 10 grams amid a rise in the prices of precious metals in the international market. Gold closed at Rs 73,150 per 10 grams in the last trading session.
Silver prices closed at 84,000 per kg
The market was closed on Thursday on the occasion of Independence Day. According to the All India Bullion Association, silver prices edged up slightly to close at Rs 84,000 per kg, up from Rs. 83,200 per kg.
Prices fell by Rs 400
Meanwhile, in the national capital on August 16, gold of 99.5 per cent purity fell by Rs 400 to Rs 72,400 per 10 grams from its previous closing price. It had closed at Rs 72,800 per 10 grams in the earlier trading session.
The price of silver fell in the international market
Globally, Comex gold was trading at $2,500.90 an ounce, up $8.50 an ounce. However, the price of silver in the international market fell to $28.66 per ounce.
Gold prices in Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Hyderabad and Bengaluru are Rs 6554 per gram for 22 carat gold and Rs 7150 per gram for 24 carat gold. At the same time, gold prices today in Delhi, Gurugram and Lucknow are Rs 6569 per gram for 22 carat gold and Rs 7165 per gram for 24 carat gold. While today the price of gold in Ahmedabad, Gujarat is Rs 6559 per gram of 22 carat gold and Rs 7155 per gram of 24 carat gold.
