The police have arrested three members of the same family after registering a complaint in the economic crime prevention branch of Ahmedabad. The police have arrested the husband and wife Amit and Sandhya Prajapati and their daughter Nilesh Prajapati. This rogue couple and dear were asking people to invest money in the stock market and also tempting them to give high interest on the money.
1.16 crore rupees were extorted from people by asking them to invest in the stock market and giving a return of up to four percent per month. Initially the investors were given a return of up to four percent for four months after which the whole matter came to light which stopped the return to the investors and the investors realized that they had been cheated and filed a complaint.
Who are the accused and how do they cheat?
Police investigation revealed that the arrested accused are residents of Nana Chiloda. The accused had perpetrated this scam from 2019 to 2024. The mastermind of this scam is Amit Prajapati who has studied till graduation. Accused Amit was earlier employed in Bangalore and after coming to Ahmedabad, set up a firm named Amstrade Capital in Naroda and Bapunagar and lured people to invest.
Investigation revealed that more than 100 investors had invested in the residence of the accused by the EOW. Police have appealed the victim to contact the EOW.
People spent the money withheld for their personal use
The preliminary investigation of the police has revealed that husband Amit Prajapati, wife Sandhya and dear Nilesh had received crores of rupees from investors by asking them to invest in the stock market and spent those rupees for their personal use, so that they could not compensate the people withheld rupees.
Got more than five crores
Although in the whole matter it has been revealed that more than 1.16 crores of fraud has been committed by filing a complaint by a single complainant, but according to this, about 25 other investors have come forward from whom the member of this family has received an amount of more than five crores. The EOW has arrested the three accused and remanded them. How many other investors has this accused targeted? While the investigation has started on all the issues where the money of the thug has been invested.
