ARTURO GATTI JR has tragically died aged 17.
The Canadian had followed in his legendary late father’s footsteps in boxing and competed on the amateur circuit.

Former two-weight world champion Gatti Sr passed away aged 37 in 2009, when his son was just a baby.
His wife Amanda Rodrigues was initially charged with murder – but following the autopsy it was deemed that the boxer had taken his own life while on a family holiday in Brazil.
Earlier today, former boxer Jean Pascal revealed that Gatti Jr had died.
Alongside an AI picture of the two Gattis together, Pascal wrote on his Instagram story: “Sixteen years after losing his father, the world loses another Gatti.
“The son of a legend two fighters, one legacy. Both gone too soon.
“May they reunite in peace. My heart is heavy… life can be unfair sometimes.
“I’m sending strength, love and prayers to his family.
“May he rest in power, like his father a true warrior.”

Gatti Sr’s former bodyguard Chuck Zito paid tribute, writing on Instagram: “My condolences to Arturo Gatti Seniors – Mom, Sisters, Brothers, and his daughter Sophia.”
In his final Instagram post a fortnight ago, Gatti Jr posted an AI-generated image of himself standing alongside his late father, with both dressed in boxing gear.
Fight fans were quick to pay tribute to Gatti Jr.
One wrote on X: “Awful news. Remember seeing a video of Mike Tyson watching young Gatti hit the heavy bag. The way he threw his punches was like watching a mini version of his dad. My heart goes out to his family.”
While another added: “Rest in Peace Arturo Gatti Jr gone way too soon.”
