State governments along with the central government are also making every effort to promote electric vehicles ie EV vehicles. In this case, if you are a resident of Rajasthan and own an electric vehicle, there is a great relief for you.
The Rajasthan Government's National Informatics Center (NIC) has created a new portal. There will be a list of vehicle manufacturers and dealers on this portal, through which you will be able to easily apply for subsidy.
According to the ET report, a senior transport department official said the portal was almost ready. It is currently in the final phase of the test. Currently, the original device manufacturers (OEM) are being registered. The application process for vehicle owners is expected to begin next month.
In February this year, the Department of Transport created an e-vehicle promotion fund of Rs 200 crore under the electric vehicle policy. Under this initiative, buyers of electric vehicles with advanced batteries will be given state GST and one -time subsidy. This benefit will apply to the vehicles purchased and registered in the state from September 1, 2022.
To get subsidy on electric vehicles, vehicle owners must update their bank details on the portal. According to officials, about 1.5 lakh EV buyers will be able to avail the scheme.
According to the rules of the Rajasthan government, two-wheelers with stable batteries will get subsidies of Rs 5,000 to Rs 10,000, and two-wheelers with swapbable batteries will get subsidy from Rs 2,000 to Rs 5,000.
However, three-wheelers with fixed batteries will get Rs 10,000 to 20,000 and three-wheelers with swapbable batteries will get Rs 4,000 to Rs 10,000. On the retrofit kits, 15% of the kit cost (including tax) will be available up to a maximum of Rs 10,000.
For four-wheeler with ex-showroom priced up to Rs 20 lakh, subsidy will be available from Rs. 5 to Rs.
