One Grimsby local said: “People who wanting to know about fireworks going off it was a gender reveal…[couple’s names] congratulations on having a boy.”
The post immediately drew criticism towards the celebrating couple from dog owners whose pooches were left terrified by the commotion.
One owner blasted: “Why fireworks???, absolutely ridiculous scared the c**** outta my dogs cheers for that idiots”.
While another fumed: “Omg my poor fur baby was shaking like a leaf”.
A local even branded the couple “selfish” for their “unnecessary” display.
But some people tried to defend the family celebrating the happy news.

While a dog owner added: “And why not? 5mins of noise, I’m a pet owner, had it been going on at 11pm for hours yes I wouldn’t of been happy … but it wasn’t.”
