MILLIONS of movie fans are fixated by what A-listers wear on the Oscars red carpet, but one of the most exciting parts of the event happens behind closed doors.
This year, stars at LA’s Dolby Theatre tucked into over 1,700 smoked salmon Oscars as part of the mouthwatering feast created by Austrian-American celebrity chef Wolfgang Puck.

Wolfgang has catered the Oscars for nearly 30 years and the evening takes meticulous planning.
Speaking to Fabulous, he said: “This year, the Governors Ball is going global with culinary influences from around the world.
“It’s been wonderful for me to be a part of Hollywood’s biggest night for the last 28 years.
“We started making our chocolates last week and have been doing prep since then.”

At this year’s Governor Ball, Wolfgang will be working alongside a team of 117 chefs to prepare the exquisite menu.
Over 1,080 eggs, 300lb of smoked salmon, 100 lobsters, 15lb of caviar, and 65 pounds Miyazaki Wagyu Beef will be used, alongside a staggering list of ingredients.
Wolfgang is bringing back his iconic smoked salmon Oscar statues, but for those with a sweet-tooth, there will also be 3,000 chocolate Oscars for dessert too.
There will be hot and cold canapes, including Miniature Wagyu Burger, Wolfgang Puck Signature Pizzas, and Savoury Eclairs filled with Truffle Mushroom Mousse, Black Garlic Glaze.

Small plates will be passed around, and there are also eight small plate stations, serving dishes from Gnocchi Romana to Braised Short ribs.
And desserts sound like a food lover’s dream, including Smore’s Macarons, Key Lime Pie Mallomar Bars and Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Gold Truffles.
