RISHI Sunak was tonight cleared of any wrongdoing following a row over his financial affairs.
Downing Street’s sleaze-buster Lord Geidt said the Chancellor obeyed the ministerial code at all times despite being dragged into a huge tax row.

Mr Sunak was this month revealed to have had a US resident green card until recently, while his billionaire heiress wife was exposed as a non dom.
Critics accused him of using money-saving schemes while whacking up taxes for ordinary Brits.
In a desperate bid to clear his name the top Tory referred himself to Lord Geidt for investigation.

And he was vindicated tonight as Lord Geidt assured Boris Johnson that his right-hand man was not in breach of the sacred code – a resigning offence.
The ethics adviser wrote: “I advise that the requirements of the ministerial code have been adhered to by the Chancellor, and that he has been assiduous in meeting his obligations and in engaging with this investigation.”
Mr Sunak will hope last night’s ruling draws a line under the saga that has been personally painful.
The Chancellor had told The Sun he felt hurt by the attacks on his uber-wealthy wife Akshata Murthy.
Ms Murthy, who owns a stake in her father’s IT mega firm, has now promised to voluntarily pay taxes on her foreign earnings.
