POLICE have issued an urgent warning after a schoolgirl was grabbed by a man on the street before a Good Samaritan rushed to save her.
The 12-year-old was walking along a street in Dudley, West Mids., shortly after 8am on Tuesday when the man “grabbed” and “pulled” her.

A passer-by then rushed to help after spotting what was happening.
The suspect is said to have run from the scene in the direction of Bower Lane.
Officers say they are now scouring through CCTV to find the man in what is being treated as an attempted abduction.
The suspect is described as mixed race, aged between 20 to 30, with brown hair and of medium build.

West Midlands Police said in a statement: “We’re investigating an attempted abduction in Quarry Bank.
“A 12-year-old girl was approached by a man in New Street between 8.10 am and 8.20am on Tuesday (May 3).
“It’s understood he grabbed her arm and pulled her. A passer-by saw what happened and stopped the incident.
“The man – who is described as mixed race, aged 20 to 30, with brown hair and of medium build – then ran off in the direction of Bower Lane.

“We’re doing more patrols in the area, carrying out CCTV enquiries and working hard to identify the man who helped the girl.”
