It is learned that the Jai Jai Ambe of Ahmedabad had identified himself as a media person and a human rights activist in the New Jai Ambe Fireworks Factory in Ahmedabad and had made a video of the factory saying that child labor was kept in your factory and stock of firecrackers was kept in the factory. The video was given to the media threatening to revoke the license. After which the owner was blackmailed and extorted one lakh twenty thousand rupees.
The gang of fake journalists and NGOs includes Sureshgiri Gauswami, Prerak Trivedi, Devendra Kotwal and Vijaykumar Verma who also created iCards in the name of NGOs as well as fake news channels. The smashing gang reached out to the factory owner and blackmailed him on various issues. Based on the complaint of the owner of the fireworks factory, the police have arrested four members of the smashing gang and seized one lakh twenty thousand rupees and three mobiles from the factory owner and seized a total of one lakh and thirty three thousand rupees. However, Sureshgiri, a member of the gang, has been booked in a similar case before.
Currently, Vivekananda Nagar police have arrested 4 members of the gang and taken further action. Police are conducting further investigations into whether the gang has blackmailed anyone other than the firecracker factory and whether there is anyone else in the gang.
