Many states of India, including Gujarat, are currently experiencing scorching heat. Rising temperatures and scorching heat have made it difficult for people to step out of their homes. Most people stay at home to avoid the heat. But the heat has increased so much that it has become difficult for people to stay indoors. People are using AC and cooler at home to avoid heat.
A little more expensive than an AC cooler. But it protects from heat. Using AC makes the bill slightly higher. Today we will tell you some ways by which your AC will cool for longer and your home electricity bill will also be reduced.
Keep the AC at 24 degrees Celsius
Currently it is very hot. The use of AC in people's homes has increased. And as the temperature increases, the temperature of the AC has to be reduced. Generally, the temperature in cities ranges from 35 ℃ to 40 ℃. So you don't need to run AC at very low temperature. You get a good cooling between 20 degrees to 24 degrees. But often people set the AC temperature between 18 degrees to 20 degrees for more cooling.
But let us tell you that generally it is considered appropriate to keep the temperature at 24 degrees Celsius. Because it provides good amount of cooling at 24 degree temperature. And due to this the power consumption of AC also comes down by 10 percent. That means if you keep the AC at 24 degrees Celsius instead of 18 degrees Celsius or 20 degrees Celsius, you will get cooling and your bill will also come down.
Keep turning the AC on and off intermittently
The more you use any electrical appliance, the higher your household electricity bill becomes. Same is the case with AC. If you use it continuously for several hours, the power consumption will increase. Due to which your electricity bill will be higher. That's why you should keep switching it on and off intermittently while using the AC.
You can also set a timer
It keeps the room cool after running the AC for a long time. So even if the AC is off, the room stays comfortably cool for some time. So if you run the AC continuously for three-four hours. So even if you turn off the AC for 10-15 minutes, the room will remain cool and the electricity bill will also come down. You can also set a timer for the AC at night if you want. By which the AC turns off automatically, you don't even need to wake up from sleep.
