Bisleri (drinking water): Quenching thirst will now be expensive. Well-known company Bisleri has hiked the prices of its bottled water by up to 11%, which will directly affect the common man.
Television (TV set): Entertainment equipment has also become expensive. Due to shortage of chips and rising prices of raw materials used in TV manufacturing due to war, TV set prices will bear an additional burden of 1-2%.
Home Interior (Home Furniture): The dream of decorating a new home will now prove to be expensive. Companies like DesignCafe will implement a 10-15% price hike for new customers effective April 1 due to price hikes in plywood and hardware.
Airlines: Flying in the sky is going to be more expensive. Airlines like Air India and IndiGo have started charging fuel surcharge, which will see a big jump in the price of flight tickets.
Laundry Services: Daily services are also not excluded. As gas and electricity prices rise, laundry firms (Perfecto Cleaners etc.) have started raising service charges, making it more expensive to press and dry-clean clothes.
FMCG Products (Daily Items): Companies like Britannia and Rasna have indicated that they may soon increase the MRP of biscuits and soft drinks as plastic and packaging materials become expensive.
Restaurants & Dining (Dining Out): If you are fond of dining out on weekends, the pocket will have to loosen up more. Restaurant menu prices are likely to rise as war disrupts supply chains.
