What is Aadhaar Enabled Payment Service?
To use Aadhaar Enabled Payment Service (AePS), the customer’s bank account must be linked with Aadhaar. AePS is a payment service where you can perform basic banking transactions like balance enquiry, cash withdrawal, mini statement and Aadhaar to Aadhaar fund transfer using customer’s biometrics through Aadhaar linked bank account.
What if multiple accounts are linked with one Aadhaar?
India Post Payment Bank has stated in its FAQs that if a customer has multiple bank accounts linked with one Aadhaar, in such a case you have to select your bank account while doing any type of transaction. At the same time, in case of having multiple accounts in the same bank, you will be able to withdraw money from the account which is primary. In this you will not need to choose bank account option.
How much will be charged?
IPPB has informed in its FAQ that if customers want to receive cash at their home, there is no fee to pay for it. But, if you are using the door step service, the bank will definitely charge you a service charge for it.
How can you use it?
- For this you have to go to the official website of IPPB and select door step banking.
- Here you enter your name, mobile number, email id, address, pin code, post office near your home and the name of the bank where you have your account.
- After this you have to click on I Agree option.
- After this, within a few minutes the postman will bring the cash to your home.
- NPCI through AePS Rs. A cash transaction limit of up to 10,000 has been set.
