John Abraham, who is eagerly awaiting his upcoming film Veda, recently sat down with Ranveer Allahabadia for an in-depth revelation, where he discussed various theories on his life and history. Recalling his early days, John recalls the early days when he earned Rs 6,500 as a media planner. He also recalled the competition organized by his film co-stars Shah Rukh Khan, Gauri Khan and Karan Johar.
I bought the ticket and got Rs 40,000
Reminiscing about his beginnings, John said, “After MBE, I got a job on Rs 6,500. Initially moving somewhere else, I was a media planner, again I got invited to participate in Glidrags competition and my judges were Shah Rukh Khan, Gauri Khan, Karan Johari Karan Kapoor. I bought the ticket and got Rs 40,000. This was like a full circle. My take home price at that time was Rs 11,500.
Invested in equity based mutual funds
When asked how much he spent on his salary, John said that I spent very little. My lunch was 6 rupees and I used to eat 2 rotis and dal fry.
This is from 1999. I didn't eat dinner because I worked late in the office, my expenses didn't include petrol for my bike, I had a train pass and some food, that's all I invested in equity based mutual funds and my investments started. .
There is no harm in making money
John was not only looking for money, but also insisted on responsible use of goods. We live in a money society. Earning is a good thing. You must crave money and what do you do if you don't crave it.
There is no harm in making money, but the important thing is what you are doing with that money, this kind of social responsibility is created so that people can give money to charity. The actor also talked about how philanthropy is popular in America and Europe, but in India the rich have to be motivated to do it.
