In an absurd hour-long tantrum the boss of world football said Europe should apologise for the next 3,000 years over colonialism.
But why should we take any moral lectures from Fifa? The organisation has been so riven with corruption and cash scandals that it made football hang its head in shame.
Under the leadership of disgraced Sepp Blatter, Fifa officials were caught in a “bribes for votes” scandal.
The World Cup became little more than a bauble to be passed around for backhanders. Questions still linger over how tiny but oil-rich Qatar won the 2022 bid.

Mr Infantino’s outburst was another example of Fifa’s sickening servility towards any dubious regime the organisation picks to host the World Cup.
In a blundering attempt to show empathy he even said: “Today I feel gay.”
But on the same day, Fifa pressured England captain Harry Kane to drop his rainbow armband, supporting inclusivity in a country where homosexuality is illegal.
How’s that for hypocrisy?
