Be it festive season or summer holidays or wedding season, the biggest problem Indians face is getting confirmed tickets to travel in trains. Indian Railways is making continuous efforts for this, in which special trains are also run. On Saturday, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav has made a big announcement that the 'Vande Bharat Sleeper' train will start running in the country in just 2 months.
Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav while talking to reporters said that the government is making continuous efforts to solve the problem of waiting in trains and 'Vande Bharat Sleeper' will be started in the next 60 days.
Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said that 'Vande Bharat Sleeper' is now ready. At present 2 train sets have been prepared. Testing will be done on both these trains for the next 6 months. Thereafter these trains can be started for normal service. At present a basic train set of 4 coaches has been prepared for the Vande Bharat sleeper.
Not only this, the government plans to put about 400 Vande Bharat trains on track in the next five years. The Vande Bharat train does not have a separate engine rather it is a part of the train set. This helps the train to run at a faster speed. So its design is made aerodynamic.
Railways is trying to solve the waiting problem
Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav also spoke about the efforts of the Railways to decongest trains. He said that this time 19,837 trips of trains have been increased in summer season to reduce congestion. This time around four crore additional people have traveled in the summer season. The government's focus is on increasing rail infrastructure. Thousands of kilometers of new lines have been laid in the last ten years. About 14.5 kilometers of railway tracks are being built every day in the country.
He said that the railway track is a track of 1,29,000 km. Railways are developing the most in Tamil Nadu. Tamil Nadu Rs. 6,321 crore railway projects have been received. Regarding the bullet train, he said that its 310 km track has been built.
