Now let's talk about Reliance Jio's valuation. Foreign brokerage firm Jefferies said the company's valuation could be over Rs 9.3 lakh crore. The brokerage firm has expressed this estimate by issuing a report on 11 July.
According to this report, the report said that Reliance Jio could be listed at a valuation of $112 billion. A strong listing of Reliance Jio could also benefit Reliance Industries. It is estimated that RIL's stock could rise by 7 to 15 percent due to Jio's better valuation.
Along with this, Jefferies has also said in its report that Reliance Jio's entire IPO could be an offer-for-sale (OFS). Through this, the minority shareholders can sell their stake in the shares of the company.
The brokerage firm said there is a possibility that Reliance may spin off Jio first through a spin-off. And then list it in the stock market through price discovery system. Both domestic and foreign investors want to list Jio through a spin-off. Earlier in August 2023, Reliance Industries had similarly spun off its financial services unit, Jio Financial Services, and listed it on the stock market through the Price Discovery System.
Reliance Jio Infocomm has increased its mobile tariff plans from this month. Jefferies said the change in tariffs reflects the company's focus on monetization and gaining market share. Along with Reliance, both its main competitors, Bharti Airtel and Vodafone Idea, have also introduced new tariff plans.
